Project Suggestions for Moodle Hack/Doc Fest: Summer 2012

Moodle Hack/Doc Fest at Kalamazoo College is a month away and we’re looking for suggestions for bug fixes, documentation and new features for Moodle that the community would like us to address. You can add your requests by making a comment on this blog post. You don’t have to be attending Hack/Doc Fest to make suggestions — we’d like suggestions from the entire community.

We expect to work on the following:

Evaluation and testing of Moodle 2.3
Bug fixes and feature enhancements for inclusion in Moodle: Liberal Arts Edition 2.3
LAE Grader for Moodle 2.3

There's a computer to run the projector and media setup but that's it. All computers in the building would require a valid Kalamazoo account to login.

I can't speak for Kalamazoo anymore but the answer is probably not. You'll want to lug your own equipment.

Typically everyone brings their own laptop, but I can check with Kalamazoo to see what's available.

I'm not sure if there are computers in these rooms or not; sometimes using those machines is more trouble than its worth because of guest account issues and the like.

There are a few important dates you should know if you're interested in this event:

* May 11, 2012: Block reservation at Comfort Inn in Kalamazoo expires

* May 29 @ 2 p.m.: Hack/Doc Fest Orientation

* June 11, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Code/Documentation Sprint

* June 12-14: Moodle Hack/Doc Fest

Moodle Hack/Doc Fest, Summer 2012 will be held Tuesday, June 12 through Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI.

There will be a pre-conference Documentation & Code Sprint on Monday, June 11, 2012.

Moodle 2.2.1+LAE v2.0 Beta 1 Released

CLAMP is pleased to announce the release of Moodle 2.2.1+Liberal Arts Edition v2.0, the inaugural edition of the LAE for Moodle 2.2. The goal of LAE is to provide a coherent package for modules, patches, and code developed (or improved) by the Collaborative Liberal Arts Moodle Project.

This is a beta release, and is recommended for use on development or pilot instances; it is under active development as we assess what issues to resolve and features to include in the LAE. It is based on work done at Moodle Hack/Doc Fest at Tulane University in January 2012.
